About the Nursery
We provide day care, pre-school and holiday club facilities that are run by a highly qualified team to the highest standards. Based in a secure large open spaced building with three outdoor areas and parent car park, we offer affordable and flexible childcare along with free places for your two, three and four year old children. We have achieved an Environmental Health Food Rating of 5 and the St Helens Healthy Early Years Status.
The setting is registered with Ofsted for 127 children including children up to the age of 11.
This 15 place baby department is based over two rooms with separate dining, sensory and personal hygiene areas. The young babies have designated outdoor area with sensory areas, soft play areas for those learning to become mobile and messy areas for sensory play. We hold the 'get closer' breast feeding award and can offer support to parents with feeding and weaning.
Young children under 2 years benefit from our nurturing environment with support from highly qualified practitioners who understand fully how to meet the needs of young children.
Our Toddler room is based over three bright and colourful spacious rooms. All children are encouraged to explore and investigate our areas which include creative and messy play, a relaxing story corner, potty training and personal hygiene room, sensory play and dining area. Children have opportunities to be involved in both lively and quiet activities. We aim to build on children's self confidence and independence. The focus is on purposeful play that sets the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
The Pre School department is based over the first floor of the building with 3 separate bright and colourful education rooms each fulfilling areas of learning including the small world area, book and reading corner, number area, role play area, information technology area, construction area and creative area. Through the seven learning areas children will be supported in reaching their full potential and achieving their goals giving each child a wide range of experienced knowledge to draw upon when they enter school. The setting has a qualified early years teacher on site who are responsible for the delivery of education for children aged 3-5 and will support your child's transition into key stage 1.
We have three outdoor areas including a decking area for young babies. We have climbing facilities and resources to support physical development. The outdoor areas are designed for each age-specific group, the play areas are imaginatively kitted out with a combination of play equipment, all-weather surfaces, grassed areas and landscaping.
