About the Nursery
Our Brand new Nursery is based in a secure large open spaced building with exceptional outdoor areas and free parent car parking, we offer affordable and flexible childcare along with free places for two, three and four year old children. Our Nursery has been purposefully designed to provide age and stage appropriate classrooms; but it is our additional facilities that set us apart from other settings. These include large outdoor play areas, sensory rooms and onsite parent facilities. Added to this, we offer a range of extra services including a text messaging facility, French, drama, sports lessons and community trips.
Our opening hours are 7.30am till 6.00pm for 52 weeks of the year.
The setting is registered with Ofsted for 156 children including children up to the age of 11 providing families with out of school hours and holiday care.
Our Baby Room is spacious and inviting; catering for children between the ages of 0 to two years. The room is bright and spacious and the resources are appropriate to encourage exploration and investigation. The room also has a segregated milk kitchen where strict sterilisation procedures are followed for formula bottle feeds and weaning systems. Non-mobile babies benefit from resources suited to their needs such as play mats, mobiles and bouncers. The Baby Room offers continuous provision such as messy activities, home corner, treasure baskets and construction.
Our baby department is also home to a separate sleeping room where little ones can rest during the day undisturbed from the hustle and bustle of nursery life. All children have their own baby grow to reduce choking hazards. Strict policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of children. Children's routines are monitored and we complete daily checks, sleep charts, nappy change and accident/medication forms when needed. Parents will always benefit from a handover with a day sheet detailing activities and information from their day.
Our toddler department is a large open space, designed to meet all the needs of two year olds. Children can move freely and are encouraged to access resources that are on their level. Our dining area is complete with self serving to encourage children to become independent and the opportunity to enhance their social skills. The room is complete with couch, cushions, low lighting, books, games so that children can experience that homely feeling when in nursery. Children can access toilets freely and take part in the self care customs such as supervised tooth brushing. The setting also has a nappy change facility which caters for those children who are toilet training. We operate continuous provision including paint, sand, water, small world, role play, construction and mark making. We follow the child's interests and build individual planning files to meet children’s needs, thus enhancing and enriching learning.
For children at Pre School age, this is quite a fast and furious development phase. Children grow in confidence by the day, and become more skilled in so many different areas. This area comprises of a large arts and crafts area and a separate room entirely dedicated to role play, music, movement, literacy, numeracy and sports, thus helping to expand your child’s imagination.
Children across the nursery experience a broad and balanced curriculum which is based on learning through play. Children also benefit from weekly planning, an enrichment programme, enhanced provision, and nursery trips to enhance their learning. We welcome children who are not yet toilet trained as we have the onsite facilities to change children. We also accept that children develop at different stages and we will do all we can to help with this process.
We have three outdoor areas including a sheltered gazebo area for young babies, a grassed area to promote understanding of the world around us and a soft play garden to promote physical development for our older children. Our Preschool and Toddler departments have free flow access to our outdoors classrooms.
